Board of Trustees

The Vestry of St. John's Cathedral in Jacksonville approves the Board of Trustees. Sixteen of the 24 board members are charter members of the Episcopal Church. The dean of St. John's Cathedral is the vice-chair and clergy member of the board.

The Board of Trustees establishes the philosophy, mission and policies of the School, employs a head of school to operate the School within those policies, and is responsible for the preservation and enhancement of the School's assets. All inquiries regarding the daily operation of the School are directed to the head of school and her staff.

    • Foundation Board

    The Foundation Board is elected by Episcopal's Board of Trustees for the purpose of sustaining the School's endowment. The Board does this by providing opportunities for contributions and maintaining strong investment policies. The endowment serves as an important source of revenue for Episcopal to maintain vital operational needs and to support its mission. As Episcopal continues to live into its mission of providing an exceptional college preparatory experience enveloped with Christian principles, the endowment nourishes this mission, allowing an infusion of revenue into areas that are institutionally important.

    Alumni Board

    The Alumni Association Board of Directors is authorized by the Board of Trustees of Episcopal School of Jacksonville to undertake alumni programming for the School. The purposes of the Alumni Board are to foster, maintain and support a mutually beneficial relationship between the alumni of the School and the School, and to create a bridge between the School and its alumni. The Association Board of Directors serves as an advisory body to the School’s alumni director on matters of organization and policies governing the conduct of alumni programs for the School.
