Why Episcopal?

During the past year…

    • Re-enrollment for 2011/2012 was a   97%, a testimony to the strength of the Episcopal community.
    • 89% of the Class of 2011 was admitted to their first or second college of choice. 
    • Two Episcopal students won top awards at the International Science Fair.
    • Episcopal invested over $100,000 towards professional development for its faculty and staff.
    • An Episcopal senior was named a University of Florida Lombardi Scholar, an award conferred annually on only 10 high school seniors applying to UF.
    • Instrumental, Choral, Dance and Theatre Ensembles dazzled audiences of all ages with their performances; six Fine Arts students earned recognition and scholarship funds at the Florida State Thespian Festival.
    • Park and Lastinger Halls opened in January, providing the School with 12 new classrooms full of the newest teaching technology available.
    • Two Episcopal seventh graders won both first and second place in a city-wide contest held in conjunction with the World of Nations event.
    • Episcopal’s Science Olympiad Team won first place at the NE Florida Regional Science Olympiad competition.
    • 80% of the Class of 2011 qualified for Florida Bright Futures Scholarship funding.
    • Four Episcopal students were honored at the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast, receiving Tomorrow’s Leaders Awards for their community service contributions.
    • The School placed 100% of its graduates in colleges and universities throughout the nation.
    • Episcopal students volunteered thousands of hours to various charities and non-profits. They also conducted a student-led summer camp for Daniel, Inc and participated on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic to work with orphans.
    • Average scores on the college SAT neared 1200 and the composite score on the ACT was 26.0
    • Episcopal’s outstanding interscholastic teams won district, regional and state titles. Sixteen scholar-athletes will continue their sports careers in college. More than 70% of our Middle and Upper School students participated on at least one of these teams.
    • Episcopal awarded over two million dollars in need-based financial aid to deserving students.
