Homecoming 2011 was a great success! As has become the tradition at Episcopal, the week leading up to Homecoming was full of various events for alumni of all ages.
On Monday and Wednesday, October 17th and 19th, Episcopal hosted the annual alumni football and basketball games. Both events were well attended with a diverse representation of classes from each decade.
New this year to the Homecoming calendar was the Alumni Art Show featuring artwork by Mark Painter Pariani and Kimberly David, ESJ graduates from the class of 2007. An array of pieces and mediums were on display in the Berg Gallery during Homecoming week.
The highlight of Homecoming week for alumni has quickly become the reception at the Alumni House on Friday night prior to the game. This year Episcopal hosted roughly 350 alumni and their families on Friday, October 21 for Homecoming. This included a reception in the alumni house backyard, dinner in the south end zone, and a kid zone for the alumni children.
Another new addition to the Homecoming festivities this year was the Parents of Alumni Tours. Episcopal extended a special invitiation to our parents of alumni inviting them to return to Episcopal for Homecoming. Twenty-eight parents of alumni joined us for a special tour of the new buildings, Parks and Lastinger Halls. After the tour the parents of alumni took part in the alumni reception in the backyard of the Advancement House.
Homecoming 2011 concluded with a special showing of Seussical, Jr. in the Munnerlyn Center.
It was a great week! We look forward to seeing you back on campus for Homecoming 2012 and November 2, 2012!
