Welcome to ESJ Student Activities!
In all my years of working at Episcopal one main theme kept surfacing and that was my admiration for the student body: the joy of seeing a timid student perform in the talent show with a booming voice; the thrill the marine biology students had when flamingos walked right by them when they were touring behind the scenes at Sea World on a field trip; the sheer excitement of hearing of a seniors’ acceptance into their first college and the goodbye tears shed at graduation. This is why I am here and why I am happy to be the Director of Student Activities of Episcopal School of Jacksonville.
The Student Activities Office is responsible for the coordination of all student-sponsored programs on campus. ESJ strives to create meaningful opportunities that are designed to improve the quality of campus life and to promote the development of responsible leaders. We offer more than 50 on-campus clubs and activities, which students can explore at a “fair” at the start of each school year. Whether serving as part of the Student Senate, president of the Spanish club, competing on the forensics club debate team, dancing with the surprise drum line at a spirit rally, or assisting with Lab Rats, there are numerous ways for each student to get involved in activities outside the classroom.
I look forward to seeing each and every student in my office and getting to know them better. I am open to new ideas. I encourage school spirit. I enjoy being with the students and learning from them throughout the school year. Student Activities is where I am supposed to be at ESJ!
