Dear parents,
Does it seem to you that the busiest time of year on campus isn't back to school but Springtime? I know it does to me. With so many major School activities, long weekends and Spring Break sometimes it is hard to keep track and keep up with things. One way to feel like you're always "in the know" is to stop by our Parents' Association meetings.
Once we've completed the March 7 meeting, there will be only two left, April 4 and May 2. Our April meeting this year is of note as we not only vote on next year's slate of officers, we will also be discussing the second season of Angel Awards this year.
The Episcopal Parents’ Association Angel Awards are open to all those who serve as members of the Episcopal administration, faculty or staff. The Parents’ Association Angel Awards were developed as a way to help the School creatively enhance the Episcopal student experience. The award is granted to an idea that is beyond the scope of the annual school budget. Previous Angel Awards have included:
- Financial assistance with the new student science gardens
- Financial assistance with the new eighth grade Renaissance Fair
- American flags for every classroom
- Large commercial grade gas BBQ grill
- Four flip camcorder kits for the library
Voting on Angel Awards is open to all parents during the meeting.
A special note for Senior parents, mark your calendars for April 11, our last College Night workshop has been designed especially for you. Before your seniors head off to college next August there are some last minute helpful hints our panel of experts would like to share regarding finances-yours and your students', legal, and emotional.
I look forward to seeing you at our meetings, our workshop and around campus over the coming weeks.
Enjoy the blessings and promises of spring,
Jayne
