Sixth-Grade Sea Camp

Each year, the sixth graders travel to the natural setting of Big Pine Key, Florida, to experience marine biology outside of the classroom. Snorkeling the coral reefs, wading at night, dissecting squid, and swimming in the shark pond are often the highlights of the trip. The students also bond through roasting marshmallows and singing at the campfire. Sea Camp is a rite of passage for the sixth-grade students, and the 2010 trip was most memorable!
