Each candidate for office will deliver a two- to three-minute speech to the entire student body on Friday, March 26, prior to Spring Fest. The speech should include your leadership experience and what you hope to accomplish as a member of the Episcopal Senate. Speeches may not include any negative remarks about fellow classmates or teachers. Please feel free to ask a teacher for guidance regarding your speech. Students must have one of his or her class advisors listen to and approve the speech prior to election day. The actual elections will take place during history classes on Thursday, April 8. Ballots will be submitted to Ms. Jimenez and Mr. Nash for counting. The final results will be posted in the Bryan Library and the lobby of the Buck Center by lunch on Friday, April 9. Candidates for class offices will give speeches at class meetings on Friday, April 16.
*All candidates for office must be in good standing and have an overall average of "C." Students on academic, discipline, or honor probation are not permitted to run for office.
NECESSARY FORMS: Each candidate should paperclip his or her forms and submit all forms, except the teacher recommendation, to Mr. Nash in G-6. Download and print the forms from the right-hand column.

SPEECHES: On Friday, March 26, all candidates for Senate office will give a mandatory two- to three-minute speech prior to Spring Fest. The candidate should explain why he or she is running for this office and what he or she hopes to accomplish. Also, any relevant experience should be included. Candidates who give inappropriate speeches will be asked to leave the stage. Candidates for class office will give their speeches at class meetings on Friday, April 16.
POSTERS: Posters that are in good taste and fashion may be on display from March 22- April 8. (April 12-April 16 for class elections) Posters may be posted in the Buck Student Center ONLY. There is a limit of five posters per candidate. Handouts, banners, gum, candy, or stickers are NOT allowed. After the election, each candidate will be expected to remove all posters and clean up any of his or her campaign literature immediately.
