Walter Ware '08, Resident Casting Director

Many of us remember Walter Ware ’08 from his days here at Episcopal. Walter was a powerful force on the student government, in the Theology classroom, and most notably in the fine arts department. His fantastic singing voice coupled with his incredible stage presence and understanding of dramatic literature and directing technique was unparalleled. His performance as Nicely Nicely Johnson in our production of Guys and Dolls truly did “Rock our Boat.” (Get it?) Some may be wondering what Walter has been up to in his near 10 years away from this place. Well, as you can see in his bio below, Walter has become a prominent force in the theatre world. We are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to the day we can bring him back home.

Walter has been the Resident Casting Director for the Tony Award Winning Signature Theatre casting over 42 productions for Signature and several more independently in the DC area. As Casting Director, Walter has cast productions for James Lapine, Christopher Ashley, Eric Schaeffer, Liesl Tommy, Kathleen Marshall, Michael Kahn, John Kander, Tom Kitt, Brian Yorkey, Gary Griffin, and Disney Theatricals.
