Class of 2019 – Senior Retreat Information

Senior Retreat will be here before we know it!

At Episcopal School of Jacksonville, a tradition for several grade levels is a meaningful trip or special activity. Twenty-two years ago this concept was incorporated into the senior activity plan with the establishment of a Senior Retreat. Over the years, the retreat has changed and been perfected but has proven to be a unifying, morale-building, and emotionally-binding experience for our seniors. The evolving unity of the Senior Class provides leadership and esprit de corps for the entire school.

This year we will be going to UNF\'s Osprey Challenge Course for a one-day team building adventure. They have designed a unique program specifically for our seniors to develop a sense of community and build relationships, teamwork, communication, trust, and acceptance. The students will be placed in groups and partake in various activities including zip-lining, canoeing, and hiking. We will finish the day with a family-style dinner at Maggiano\'s. The Class of 2019 will depart from Episcopal at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, and will return by 6:30/7:00 p.m. the same day.

The cost of Senior Retreat is $130.00/student which includes the fee for the Osprey Challenge Course, bus transportation, lunch, dinner, and a t-shirt that will commemorate the experience. This fee will be charged to your Episcopal account and appear on your September statement.

Please find the waivers that are required for your senior to participate. The completed forms must be returned to ESJ by Wednesday, September 7. Please remember that this trip is mandatory for all seniors.
