Health, Safety, and Well-Being Events on September 12

The first Health, Safety, and Well-Being event of the year for students will be held on September 12. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and our speakers will be addressing this difficult topic. In the interest of education and awareness, we strongly encourage all students to attend. Parents who have specific and confidential concerns about their child attending these speaker sessions can email the counseling team in Student Services at [email protected] using the subject line “HSW Event.” One of the counselors will contact you directly to discuss the events and possible supervision alternatives available to your student during that time in the school day. Please reach out by Monday, September 9 if you have any concerns.

Additionally, Upper School speaker Dennis Gillan will provide an education session for parents from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Jangro Stadium, Room 202. He will share content presented to students as well as review how parents can best support their children and each other while navigating through adolescence. If you would like to attend this event, please click here to RSVP.

Please see the letter sent out last week for additional details about the speakers.
