Spanish Exchange for Rising 10th – 12th Graders
Dear Parents of Rising 10th – 12th Graders,
We would like to invite your family to participate in an exciting opportunity, Episcopal’s Spanish Exchange. This year will be our 10th year in partnership with The Colegio Inglès, our Spanish exchange sister school in Zaragoza, Spain. Our cultural exchange with Colegio Ingès was established in 2009 and has experienced numerous successful exchanges in the years since. We continue to be enthusiastic about this exchange and all the opportunities that it gives to our students and families.
We are hoping to find 8-12 students that would be interested in participating in this year’s Spanish Exchange. Students, accompanied by Mrs. Plaski and Mr. Nichols, would travel to Zaragoza and Barcelona, Spain in June 2020. Students would stay with a host family for the two weeks in Zaragoza and then would spend three days exploring Barcelona together as a group from ESJ. Colegio Inglès is an English speaking school in Northeastern, Spain. As this is a cultural exchange and not an immersive Spanish speaking experience, speaking Spanish is not a requirement to be a participant in this trip. The goal of the exchange is to have the same students travel and host, however, the option of only traveling or hosting is open to all students.
Please consider being part of this year’s Spanish Exchange and travel to Zaragoza and Barcelona. If you have any questions or would like an application, please contact Mrs. Nitza Plaski, Spanish Exchange Coordinator, at [email protected]. You are also welcome to email [email protected] with any questions.
Thank you for considering and discussing this wonderful exchange opportunity with your student and your family. We have extended this to all students, including those that do not take Spanish, as it will be a very rich and fulfilling experience for everyone involved. Please let us know that you may be interested in pursuing this opportunity no later than Thursday, December 19.
