PSAT on October 14 for Grades 9-11, Student Holiday for Grades 6-8 & 12
On Wednesday, October 14, Episcopal will be administering the PSAT tests to our ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students. Due to COVID protocols and College Board mandated testing date, we will not be administering the PSAT to eighth grade students this fall. Sixth, seventh, eighth, and twelfth grade students will have a student holiday. Here are some reminders of how the day will impact students taking the PSAT:
- October 14 is a “Spirit Dress Day,” meaning that the attire will be ESJ shirts and sweatshirts, pants or uniform bottoms and shoes.
- All students need to bring #2 pencils and a calculator; no mechanical pencils are allowed.
- The Buck Center will be closed for breakfast and lunch.
- All students should arrive by 7:45 a.m. Students should go directly to their assigned testing room location; advisors will be sharing the information during advisory. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
Ninth grade students will be administered the PSAT 8/9, which is a practice SAT test.
Tenth and eleventh grade students will be administered the PSAT/NMSQT test. The results of the tests taken by the eleventh graders are used for National Merit Scholarship selections.
