Reminder to Submit Contact Information Changes

Parents on all campuses are reminded to please take a moment to review your family information in the online My BackPack Directory* and submit any pertinent updates (phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, employer change, change in marital status, etc.). 

Your help is essential in making sure your contact information is up to date so that ESJ can appropriately communicate with your family. 

To view how your information currently appears in the directory, go to the Home Menu in My BackPack and click on the Student/Parent Directory link, then enter your last name and click on “search.” If any information needs to be updated, follow the instructions below.

*This directory is viewable only for current ESJ Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff behind a secure My BackPack login.

Updating Your Information for the Directory

  • First, log in to My BackPack. Then under Settings, click My Profile.
     
  • Please check the following fields for information that needs updating and/or typos that need correcting: First and Last Names, Nicknames (your preferred names), Residential Address, Work Addresses, Emergency Contacts, Phone, Email Addresses, and the Type/Number fields (for cell phone numbers). 
     
  • To correct any information, click the Edit button, make the necessary changes, then click Save.
     
  • If you would like any of your residential information to be excluded from the online directory, please check the “DNP” box next to that field.
    • Note: Work, grandparent and friend information will not be published in the online directory. If a person is marked as an emergency contact, make sure there is a cell, home and or work number listed.
       
  • Please check the information for your child/children by returning to the Home Menu and clicking on your child’s picture field (pictures will be updated once photos are taken for this school year and the school receives them from the photographer.).
    • Check your child’s name, preferred name (in parenthesis if applicable), and grade. If any changes are necessary for your child, please select “Send Note To School” and note the correction(s).

  • For Separate Household families, each parent will only be able to update their household information. If you are listed together and need to be separated, please select “Send Note to School” and note the correction(s).

 

Note: Changes that you make will be approved by the school before they will display in the online directory.
