Swimming Takes Top 10 Finish at State Finals
On Sunday the girls’ and boys’ swim teams participated in the FHSAA state final meet held in Stuart. The girls’ team earned an eighth place finish overall. In the process, Mary Kate Kelly ’21 took third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.92. Her time set a new school record previously held by Olympian Nancy Hogshead ’80. The boys’ team placed sixth overall. Senior Julian Smith claimed a state championship in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.56. Congrats to both teams on a great season!
