Advising Conversations with students, parents and advisors – February 25

This year has reinforced that relationships are the cornerstone of the Episcopal community. Our Advisory program supports students by building strong relationships between students, parents, and advisors.

In order to continue strengthening those relationships, this spring we will shift from traditional Parent-Teacher Conferences to Advising Conversations. Students and parents are invited to meet together with the student’s advisor rather than parents meeting with individual teachers. These conversations offer an opportunity to reflect on the student’s experience in all aspects of student life, focused on student growth rather than individual grades. Conversations will also allow families and advisors to discuss goals for the second semester and plan for next year.

Appointments for Advising Conversations will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25. Middle School and Upper School advisors will be sharing a link to sign up for a 20-minute Zoom session for each student and at least one parent.

Any questions should be directed to the appropriate Division Head: Natalie Herford, Head of Upper School, or Paige McGee, Head of Middle School.
