Second Grade Student Places in Virtual Chess Tournament

Second grade student, Luke M., recently placed 2nd in @theknightschooljax vs. TKS Birmingham virtual chess tournament! He was one of five players to earn 6 points. 

The Knight School (TKS) has been providing After-School opportunities for students in Pre-K 3 – Grade 6 to learn the game of chess on the St. Mark’s Campus for four years. Their chess approach is a unique, revolutionary, high-energy chess class in which students acquire critical thinking and problem solving skills in addition to academic confidence and social skills through games, activities, and lessons.
