9GOA Trip 2021 – Photos

Campers, counselors, and adults on the 9th Grade Orientation Adventure (9GOA) enjoyed the sunshine and breezes in North Georgia the first week of school.  Just as in past years, students learned interesting facts about plants, animals and the environment; they did things that seemed a bit dangerous; and they tried things that they had never done before.  Hiking on the Smithcreek Trail and rafting the Chattooga River provided opportunities for excitement and teamwork.  Students came home with lots of great stories about whitewater rafting, campfire songs, Ranger Bob and new friends.  Thousands of photos were taken on the trip, and the best photos are now posted on the school’s Flicker account in two groups, Gold and Maroon. In the coming days, campers and counselors will be given an envelope of group photos to bring home. Their smiling faces tell the story of a meaningful and memorable trip.
