Beaches Campus Operations takes Center Stage this Summer!

The Beaches Campus new Gymnasium and Performing Arts Center is entering the final stage of construction and the campus is preparing to welcome students to the new facility in August.

During the month of June, we will see the final steps of the painting, bathroom floor tile, Hope Hall fire corridor, and electrical and HVAC trim outs,” said David Hess, Director of Campus Operations. “In addition, the stage lightning cage, gym equipment, wall pads, flooring, and line striping will be installed and completed. We anticipate a certificate of occupancy in mid-July on the Beaches Campus Gym. Our students will be able to enjoy the gym for activities at the start of the school year.”

Other Beaches Campus construction projects underway include the re-roofing of McCormick and Hope Hall. The demolition of the lot east of the school is also underway. This work includes the razing of the annex building and asphalt parking lot, with the future being a new parking lot for school usage. Additional Beaches Campus summer projects include the renovation of the movement room, which will be transformed into the new Innovation Space. The construction and move of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment are expected to be completed before the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
