Romanian Mission Trip

ESJ partners with a ministry called Project Ruth (projectruth.ro), located in Bucharest. Project Ruth ministers to the Roma people, otherwise known as “gypsies.” The Roma are the largest ethnic group in the world without a nation or official borders. Students will work specifically with Roma children, sharing God’s love with them and teaching them the Bible, arts & crafts, recreation, and music. Episcopal students will be staying in dorms which are very modern and specifically set up for mission teams from the US and England. The staff at Project Ruth provides all meals, transportation, and translators. Sight-seeing excursions throughout Bucharest and Romania will include the Palace, (the second largest building in the world); the National Museum (which celebrates Romania’s history and the fall of communism); and Bran’s Castle in Transylvania (otherwise known as “Dracula’s Castle”).
