This summer students will get the opportunity to travel to Senegal in Western Africa. While there, we will embrace a culture entirely different from our own. Students will serve several Senegalese communities. In Dakar, students will participate in a community service alongside students from a local international, private high school. When we aren't serving in the communities that we are exploring, we will ride camels, sleep in the desert, eat Thieboudienne, watch and maybe even participation in salt extractions from the Pink Lake, explore Gorée Island & its history, and much more! There is no language requirement for this trip. Students will also get the chance to learn Wolof, an African language, and practice it with their new friends. Please email Ms. Wessling at [email protected] for more information and an application.
