Football Program

The Episcopal Football Program consists of a Middle School team, a Junior Varsity team, and a Varsity team. The teams practice on the River Field and play games at Pajcic-Hunt Field. The Episcopal Football Program is led by former NFL Jacksonville Jaguar great Mark Brunell. Coach Brunell and his staff, who led the team to the state playoffs in 2016, instill a strong work ethic in the players and make Friday nights memorable for the entire Episcopal community.

About the Coach

Mark Brunell has been coaching football for five years, the last four of which have been at Episcopal as the head varsity coach. Last year Coach Brunell led the football team to the postseason. Coach Brunell served as the quarterback coach at Providence School before making his transition to Episcopal.  Brunell attended and played football for the University of Washington.  While there, he lead the Huskies to a Rose Bowl victory that would later lead to his induction into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame. Brunell played in the NFL for 19 years, spending a majority of his time with the hometown Jacksonville Jaguars. He was later inducted into their Hall of Fame.  Brunell would finish up his career by helping the New Orleans Saints reach and win a Super Bowl.
