Job Description:

The Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking applications for a full-time, Elementary school teaching position on the Beaches campus, beginning in August 2021. A full-time faculty member should feel comfortable teaching any of the grades K-5. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, supervising community service, or sponsoring a club. Faculty are also responsible for communicating with parents as needed and through conferences and comments at various points during the year.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from a four-year college or university, or post-graduate work in subject matter or education; advanced degree preferred.
  • Teaching experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates new to teaching.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate classroom management skills with a focus on student-centered learning.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with educational software for the purposes of online teaching.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with faculty, students and parents.
