Book Buyback

Because of the current health and social climate restrictions, Episcopal’s Book Buyback event will take place but function differently this year. The health of our community is our top priority, and the accommodations listed below are intended to allow buyback to occur while keeping everyone safe. If you have any questions, please email Missie Hoyt at [email protected] prior to the buyback event so she can best assist you with the process.

Making an Appointment

The Book Buyback event will be held outside, under the covered awning area next to the Campus Store. To attend, you must first set up an appointment using the link at the bottom of this email. Appointments are in 15 minute intervals from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Two tables will be set up, and you can make an appointment at either table. If you have more than one child who is an ESJ student, you must select more than one appointment to allow for enough time.

Upon Arrival

When you arrive on campus for your appointment, please wait in your car until your scheduled appointment time and you see that your table is available. Please do not form lines. To reduce unnecessary risks, please bring only yourself and/or your student to the table with your books. You and your child must also be wearing masks while on campus.

Book Buyback and Credit Information

The Campus Store will email each student a copy of their Book Purchase History Report. You do not need to print this, we will have a copy. On this report you will see titles that are highlighted. Highlighted titles are the textbooks that are eligible for buyback, provided they are in good reusable condition. Remember that your student account will be credited 30% of the purchased price for used books and 50% of the purchase price for new books.

Textbooks that are not highlighted will not be used next year. You may bring non-highlighted textbooks to us and we will ship them to Textbook Warehouse to see if they can issue a credit to you. For everyone's safety, we will not be able to host Textbook Warehouse on campus this year. If they do not issue you a credit, your textbook will be recycled and we will not be able to return them to you.

All credits will be issued once buyback is complete. We ask that you write your student’s ID number inside the front cover of all the textbooks you are bringing to us. The student ID number is on the top left hand side of the Book Purchase History Report being sent to your student's email. Please remove anything from inside the textbook prior to bringing us your student's book such as homework assignments or notes.

Book Purchase History Reports will start to be sent out at the end of April. Please remind your student to check their email for this. If your student has not received it by May 7, please email [email protected] and I will resend it to them.
